About Angie

Angie is always moving…. a self-proclaimed hummingbird. If her body is not in motion, her mind is. Even as a kid you couldn’t get her to sit down, especially if music was playing. She got hooked on group exercise at 17 and has been teaching classes ever since. She graduated from the University of San Francisco with a degree in Exercise Sport Science, expanding her passion for fitness into the areas of personal training and nutrition.

Food is not the enemy. The more people understand about nutrition the less likely they are to make poor choices.

Angie’s love of music inspired the creation of “Fit2beat,” a wellness community that includes both cardio dance (Groove) and small group training classes. Her creative choreography has influenced her style in both areas, making each class a new experience. “HIIT” workouts (high-intensity-interval-training) are Angie’s specialty. She delivers a whole-body workout in 40, energy-packed minutes. Every class is different, but the result is always the same. Students leave feeling strong, sweaty and inspired. Angie’s goal to help people find joy in movement.

Angie’s interest in nutrition started at a young age. Growing up in an Italian household exposed her to a variety of different foods and flavors.  She developed a passion for cooking in her early 20’s when preparing delicious, healthy meals became an obsession.

Angie recognizes the need for “culinary literacy” in the American culture. As the obesity epidemic continues to rise, families are spending more time dining out and less time preparing meals at home. This creates not only a health crisis but a social one. The demands of a fast-paced lifestyle affect the whole family dynamic. Angie is on a mission to get more people in the kitchen. She helps her clients address unhealthy habits while setting realistic goals for long-term weight management.

“Food is not the enemy. The more people understand about nutrition the less likely they are to make poor choices. My goal is to improve my clients’ relationship with food while helping them understand that most habits are not food related at all.”

Angie carries professional certifications with The American Council on Exercise (ACE) and the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM). She teaches both virtual and in-person classes.
